CONSULTATIONS
Veterinarian Consults
Our highly qualified veterinarians offer consultations for sick and injured pets as well as wellness checks. We have standard consults that are 20 minutes long and extended consults for 30 minutes. This allows us to be thorough in our examination of your pet, decide on any diagnostics and treatment and give you a detailed explanation of our recommended plan to you. As animals age much faster than people, we have adopted a twice-for-life policy where we advise wellness checks every six months. At one of these, we will vaccinate your pet and discuss preventative care. And at the other, we may recommend a screening blood and urine test to look for any early signs of underlying problems. Wherever possible we do recommend making a booking for all these appointments ahead of time.

Urgent Consults
We understand that sometimes your pet needs to be seen sooner rather than later and that it can be stressful when your furry family member is suddenly unwell or injured. At My Family Vet, we will always attend to urgent cases. Sometimes we may need to admit your pet to hospital for diagnostics and treatment. In severe cases, we may need to send your pet to one of the nearby emergency centres. We will make a prompt assessment and decide what is best for your fur baby.
