An update on our construction

My Family Vet – Upper Kedron is a new, modern veterinary clinic that is located in Ellendale Village in the leafy suburb of Upper Kedron. While there have been delays due to COVID and a shortage of building supplies, Ellendale Village is now in its final stages of development. Other businesses in this precinct include an IGA, a doctors’ clinic, a pharmacy, a bottle shop, a café and a swim school. There is ample parking in the Village complex with two designated parks out the front of the clinic for those who need to park close.

The building of My Family Vet is well underway. The clinic has been architecturally designed and this month the fit-out of the practice has begun. My Family Vet clinic will have separate dog and cat waiting areas in the reception. There are also separate consult rooms for dogs and cats and a nurse consult room. In the hospital part of the clinic will be a Treatment area, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Dental area, Surgery room and X-ray room. There will be recovery cages in the Treatment area and also separate dog and cat wards. Additionally, there will be a utilities room and a kitchenette.

This new purpose-built veterinary clinic has been founded by veterinarians – Dr Louise Parry, Dr Charlotte Bryant and Practice Manager – Gareth Wilson. They wanted to start a family-owned practice that provides excellent patient care and exceptional customer service in a friendly environment, away from corporate constraints. The ambience of the clinic will be warm and welcoming with a family feel. This project has been a long-awaited goal of the owners and they are very proud of this accomplishment. They will be also joined by Head Veterinary Nurse – Zie Ealam. All four have worked together in previous practice and are excited to be working as a team again.

At this stage, doors should be opening towards the end of August. The exact date and details of an open day will follow
