The secret to an outstanding clinic is the people behind it – like My Family Vet veterinarian and co-founder Dr Charlotte Bryant, who was driven to create a welcoming space offering exceptional care.

The privilege of pets

Charlotte’s childhood was filled with fun, furry companions, and she firmly believes that any home shared with animals is lucky to have them. Understanding the joy, comfort and connection pets bring to our lives, Charlotte was inspired to build a practice that helps pets truly thrive – the vision that led to the creation of My Family Vet.

With more than 15 years’ experience, Charlotte’s career has taken her from her home of New Zealand to the UK and Australia. Along the way, she honed her surgical skills while working in a wide range of veterinary practices, and her commitment to ongoing learning has seen her complete postgraduate study and become PennHIP-accredited, enabling more accurate assessment of hip health – particularly important as our pets age.

Charlotte’s areas of interest include joint disease prevention, dentistry, basic orthopaedic procedures and soft tissue surgery, including correction of BOAS (brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome). Above all, she is a passionate and compassionate advocate for animals, dedicated to helping pets live long, healthy and happy lives.

A dream come true

Alongside My Family Vet partners Louise and Gareth, Charlotte is thrilled to bring this warm, welcoming, family-owned practice to life.

“We provide exceptional-quality healthcare to our beloved family pets and a wonderful service to their families,” she says. “This is a long-awaited dream of ours and something we are incredibly proud of.”

Life beyond the clinic

When she’s not caring for the pets of our community, Charlotte loves spending time with her own family – both furry and otherwise. She shares her busy household with her husband, two energetic young boys, their cat Lenny and water-loving Groodle Jack, ensuring their home (and hearts) are always full.
