At My Family Vet, we believe pets are family – and few people embody that more than Dr Louise Parry, one of our founders and dedicated veterinarians.

A Lifetime of Animals and Adventure

For Louise, animals have always been at the heart of life. Growing up with a father who was also a vet and surrounded by countless pets on a cattle station, her path seemed destined from the start. “I became a vet simply because I wanted to help animals and their people,” she says – and that passion still drives her today.

Her career has taken her across the globe, from mixed practice in country Victoria to clinics in the UK and the USA. Along the way, Louise discovered her true calling in small animal care. These days, her professional interests include internal medicine, diagnostics, imaging, soft tissue surgery, and preventative health – all areas where her keen eye for detail and deep compassion shine.

Building a Practice with Heart

Together with her partners, Charlotte and Gareth, Louise co-founded My Family Vet – Upper Kedron with a simple goal: to create a friendly, family-focused clinic that offers both excellent veterinary care and a comforting experience for pet parents.

She takes joy in seeing the bond between families and their pets – and believes it’s vital to help keep those beloved companions happy and healthy for as long as possible.

Life Beyond the Clinic

When she’s not caring for patients, you’ll find Louise enjoying time with her partner, three daughters, and Luna, their affectionate kitty. Whether it’s family adventures or quiet time at home, animals are never far from the picture.
